Faking The Video

Description: Faking the Video is a half-hour reality series featuring artists like Michelle Branch, JC Chasez and Omarion and a cast of unsuspecting production assistants who think they've got a dream gig working on a big-budget music video. How wrong they are... What if you got the career break of a lifetime working in LA on a huge music video for MTV? Well that's what happened to six Hollywood hopefuls from across the country. They thought they were hired to work as production assistants on a multi-artist music video campaign centered around a new Diane Warren song called "Making My Way," featuring JC Chasez, Michelle Branch and Omarion. But instead of making the video, MTV was Faking the Video. The whole shoot--the song, the crew, the artists--was a giant hoax designed to find out which of our PAs would endure the shoot-from-hell to get their big break. Every detail was planned and rehearsed by a team of improvisational actors who played the key crew members. Hidden cameras captured every twist and turn as our PAs were put to the test. In a process of elimination, the group unwittingly competed for a cash prize and a chance to work with famed music video director Wayne Isham.
